Privacy policy

Who we are and what this policy covers
Quoteble is operated by Assist Technology, LLC (d/b/a Quoteble), 600 1st Ave. Ste. 330, PMB 95239, Seattle, WA 98104. Quoteble is a free quote-referral service: you tell us what kind of insurance you're shopping for, and we connect your request with insurance carriers and agents who can provide quotes. We are not an insurance company, broker, or agent, and we do not provide quotes or issue policies ourselves.
This policy explains what information we collect when you use quoteble.com, how we use it, when and with whom we share it, how long we keep it, and the rights and choices you have.
This policy does not cover the practices of other businesses — including the insurance carriers, agents, and marketplace partners your request is matched with. Once your information reaches them, their own privacy policies govern how they handle it. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any company you end up working with.
Information we collect and where it comes from
Information you provide to us
When you fill out a quote form on our site, we collect the answers you give. Depending on the type of insurance you're shopping for, that can include:
- Contact information — your name, email address, and ZIP code or address.
- Details relevant to your quote — for example, vehicle year, make, and model; property details; your insurance history (such as whether you're currently insured); details about you the form asks for, such as your date of birth, gender, marital status, and whether you own your home; and similar answers relevant to your quote.
If you contact us through our contact form or by email, we collect whatever information you choose to include so we can respond.
The questions on our forms are there so your request can be matched with relevant carriers and agents. If you skip questions or provide information that can't be used, we may not be able to process your request or the matches you receive may be less relevant.
Information we collect automatically
Like most websites, we automatically collect some technical information when you visit, using cookies and similar technologies:
- Your IP address, which we also use to estimate your general location (city / state / ZIP).
- Device and browser information, such as browser type and operating system.
- The pages you view and how you move through the site.
See Cookies and other technologies below for the specific tools we use and the choices you have.
How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Process your quote request — transmitting it, at your direction, to our marketplace partner so it can be matched with insurance carriers and agents (see the next section).
- Personalize your experience — for example, using your estimated location to show information relevant to your area or to prefill the ZIP code field, and remembering where you left off if you return to the site.
- Measure and improve the site — understanding which pages are visited, how visitors find us, and which of our advertising is working, including attributing phone calls made to the tracking numbers displayed on our site.
- Respond to your questions and support requests.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security issues.
- Keep records we need for legal and compliance purposes, including records of the consent you give when you submit a request.
- Comply with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
When, how, and with whom we share your information
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under applicable state privacy laws. When your information moves, it moves at your direction, to fulfill the quote request you submitted. Here's how:
- Our marketplace partner. When you submit a quote request, you instruct us to transmit it to MediaAlpha's marketplace, operated by QuoteLab, LLC. The marketplace matches your request with participating insurance carriers and agents, who may email you quotes and follow-up messages about your request. See our marketing partners for more about who participates. Once your information reaches the marketplace and its advertisers, their own privacy policies apply.
- Service providers. We use companies that provide services to us: Cloudflare (website hosting, content delivery, and security verification), Google (analytics and tag management), CallForge (call tracking), and Freshdesk (customer support). They process information on our behalf to run the site, and we don't permit them to use it for their own unrelated purposes.
- Advertising measurement. When you submit a quote request, we share limited data with Google, our advertising measurement provider, to measure which advertising works: the ad click's identifier (when you arrived from one of our ads), the request's approximate value, your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, and a one-way hashed (SHA-256) version of your email address. The hash lets Google match the request against its own advertising records without receiving your readable email address, and we never share your name, answers, or contact details this way. If you didn't arrive from an ad, there is nothing for Google to match and no ad is credited. Some of this sharing happens directly in your browser: Google's measurement tag on our site receives the hashed email address at the moment you submit your request. Google processes this data on our behalf for measurement, and we retain our copy for about 90 days.
- Legal reasons. We may disclose information if we reasonably believe it's required by law or legal process, or necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Quoteble, our visitors, or others — for example, to investigate fraud.
- Corporate transactions. If Assist Technology, LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information we hold may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Cookies and other technologies
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser; we and our service providers also use similar technologies like scripts and browser localStorage. Here's what we use them for:
- Analytics. We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site — pages viewed, how you arrived, and general usage patterns.
- Call tracking. We use CallForge to display a per-visitor tracking phone number on our pages. CallForge estimates your approximate location (city / state / ZIP) from your IP address, which we also use to personalize page content and prefill the ZIP code field, and it records when a visitor calls one of our tracking numbers so we can attribute the call to our advertising.
- Session continuity. We use browser localStorage to remember things like the page you arrived on, so returning visitors pick up where they left off.
- Security. Our quote form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to help distinguish real visitors from automated traffic. It runs invisibly, never asks you to solve a puzzle, and processes limited technical signals from your browser as described in Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy policy.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings, and Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics. If you block cookies, most of the site will still work, but some features — like remembering your progress — may not.
How long we keep your information
We keep information for as long as we reasonably need it for the purposes described in this policy. Quote request and consent records are retained for legal and compliance record-keeping — for example, to document that you submitted a request and what you agreed to. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.
How we protect your information
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse, including encrypting information in transit. No website can guarantee perfect security, but we work to keep our safeguards current.
Children
Our services are for adults shopping for insurance and are not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to:
- Access and receive a copy of the personal information we have about you.
- Ask us to delete personal information we have about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate personal information.
- Limit certain uses of your personal information.
To exercise any of these rights, submit a request through our contact form or email us at support@quoteble.com. Tell us which right you want to exercise. We'll take reasonable steps to verify your identity before acting on a request — that protects your information from someone else requesting it in your name. We will never discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
You may also use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We'll ask for evidence of the agent's authority, and we may still contact you directly to verify the request.
Your choices and controls
- Cookies: use your browser's settings to block or delete cookies (see Cookies and other technologies).
- Analytics: install Google's opt-out browser add-on to stop Google Analytics measurement.
- Email: marketing emails you receive as a result of your quote request come from our marketing partners; each includes an unsubscribe mechanism, or you can contact the sender directly. If we ever send you marketing email ourselves, it will include an unsubscribe link.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make a material change, we'll revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this page occasionally so you're aware of our current practices.
